I see within this painting, a group of spirits traveling through the Universe, led by a messenger delivering them to unchartered territories, furthering their destiny. The process went in three stages, shown by the three levels of color. Each individual stage might take a multitude of lifetimes to complete.
Yet in Universe, a mere instant.
